This block paving driveway was designed and built in Whittle-Le-Woods, Chorley.
A Block paving driveway is designed to be flexible, allowing for the weight ontop of it and springing back when the weight is removed. The block paver used is 'Tegular, Heather', It was choosen for its fantastic colour range which blended well with the period of the property, and also for its rustic finish. We used a golden block paver as a contrast to create a boarder within the edgings- a good decoraive feature.
The old driveway was very well bedded which meant we were lucky to have a solid foundation to build our new block paving driveway on, and as the drive sloped away from the house there was no need for additional drainage to be installed. The driveway was extended slightly to enable two vehicles to comfortably park.
We were happy to create a solid, durable driveway that looked inkeeping with its surroundings.
