French plum slate water feature with port hole

This design was choosen as a memorial feature, to be constructed by our landscapers in chorley, lancs, in a community garden for many to enjoy.

The slate offers a natural, whilst modern looking structure. It has hints of colour that when wet really comes to life. The water comes up a hole in the base of the porthole and gently flows down both sides of the slate, (the stronger the pump used the stronger the flow of water is).

A red brick edging was used as a boundary that matched the surrounding buildings. As a finish purple slate was used for the water to drain through. Again this is a natural product thats colour is enhanced when becomes wet.

This type of feature comes in many different sizes, and because is a natural product no two features are identical. The porthole is optional and often not present in the smaller designs. The size of feature you choose should be in keeping with the space you have and the overall look and feel of the garden.
