A Patio design using Indian stone which is complimented with random stone walling.

This large patio was created using Indian stone, the colour, Autumn Blend, Which has a mixture of warm browns, with reds, greys and oranges. We layed the natural Indian stone in a random pattern, which pieces together like a jigsaw.

A silver, grey granite edging was choosen as a contrast to the natural Indian stone, giving it a define edge. This really made a impact on the overall apperance of the patio.

Down the side of the house two planting beds were created using the outer rings of an Indian Stone circle. These too were edged using the granite setts to make them into a feature and set them apart from the main patio area.

The raised bed was constructed using natural sandstone, the method on construction is random stone walling. The combination of the materials blends well with the natural colours in the Indian stone. These materials also blended with the period and design of the property. We capped it using another ring fron the Indian stone circle. The step into the side entrance was also built using random stone walling and the centre and smallest ring of the stone circle used as the finish.

The beds were planted with a cottage garden theme, using bright colours, different heights and textures to make a bold statement.
