Indian stone patio, Kandula Grey

This Indian stone patio design was built by our landscapers in whittle-le-woods, chorley.

The Indian stone patio is part of a garden that although has alot of drainage it still becomes very wet. The old patio had a tendency to hold surface water which we needed to correct with our design.

The water from the garden drained out of land drains onto the patio, so we installed channel drains at the base of the walls to direct the flow directly into the underground system. This eliminated the flooding problem but also having these drains in place meant we could fall the whole patio away from the house.

The colour of the Indian stone used for the patio was choosen to reflect the interior of the house, thus making it an extension of the property. Kandula grey has subtle colour differences of greys, it creates quite a modern looking patio design. We layed the paving at 45degree , which makes the area appear wider than it is. Finally we capped the existing wall pillers in the same natural stone to tie the whole garden together.
