granite patio area

A granite patio area constructed by our landscapers in Chorley, Lancashire.

The garden here was only small in size so we choose a product to use that would reflect the light. This makes it appear larger than it is.

The black and grey granite is extremily sophisticated in its apperance and gives a top class, modern twist to the garden. The contrast in colour, between the grey and the black, works well. The tower effect, as it is layed acts as a feature but also draws the eye down the patio making it appear longer.

Many people are worried about the granite becoming slippy when wet. It does have a slightly roughened surface that makes it non slip.

The use of black pots breaks up the area and offers height, colour and texture through planting.

The two pictures shows the areas wet and dry, and the dramatic difference in the colour.
