Indian stone driveway with black granite edging installed by our landscapers.

The colour used for this Indian stone driveway is Autumn Blend. The client chose this for their driveway because of the amazing colour range and the fossil markings that are present within the natural stone flags.

Being a natural stone, Indian stone blends well with most backdrops, and it definatly suited the period of this property.

As we extended the size driveway, where it was previously garden we had to be 100% sure it would bare the weight of two vehicles. We had to dig down deep so when we built it back up with hardcore we had a solid surface to build our new Indian stone driveway on. Only when we are happy with the sub base will we lay the driveway other wise it will sink under the pressure of the weight.

All our Indian stone flags are layed on a full bed of concrete.

Our landscapers created a square step using the same Autumn Blend, Indian stone flags as the driveway, and edged it with black granite setts. We also edged the driveway with the same granite setts.

As the driveway fell towards the house our landscapers installed a channel drain in front of the driveway. This meant all the surface water drained away easily and didnt sit against the property.
